Dutch sample artist Spinvis (translated: 'Spiderfish') and his band worked together for a couple of years with Simon Vinkenoog, a famous Dutch writer and poet of the hippie generation. They released the album Ja! (2006) under the moniker Vinkenoog / Spinvis Combo and played a string of live shows, including special ones for Holland's travelling performing arts festival, De Parade. In 2008 they released the samples album Ritmebox, this time under the Vinkenoog-Spinvis moniker, celebrating the hippie poet's 80th birthday.
